Composition:

  • Active ingredient: Aciclovir 400mg

Dosage:

  • The usual dosage of Virest 400mg (Aciclovir) for adults is 800mg to be taken orally every 4 hours while awake (5 times daily) for 7 to 10 days.
  • For the treatment of herpes zoster infections, the recommended dosage is 800mg to be taken orally every 4 hours while awake (5 times daily) for 7 to 10 days.

Indications:

  • Virest 400mg (Aciclovir) is commonly used to treat infections caused by herpes viruses, including genital herpes, cold sores, shingles (herpes zoster), and chickenpox.
  • It can also be used to prevent recurrent outbreaks of genital herpes and to reduce the severity and duration of outbreaks.
