Ranitidine Injection
Composition:
- Each vial contains Ranitidine Hydrochloride equivalent to Ranitidine 50 mg
- Inactive ingredients may include sodium chloride, sodium acetate, and water for injection
Dosage:
- The usual adult dosage for Ranitidine injection is 50 mg to 100 mg every 6 to 8 hours by slow intravenous injection over 5 minutes or by continuous infusion
- Dosage may vary based on the patient's condition and the specific indication
Indications:
- Ranitidine injection is indicated for the treatment of active duodenal ulcer, active benign gastric ulcer, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and pathological hypersecretory conditions
- It is also used for the prevention of upper gastrointestinal bleeding in critically ill patients
