Panadol Plain tabs
**Composition:**
- Each tablet contains:
- Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) - 500 mg
- Excipients (such as starch, microcrystalline cellulose, and magnesium stearate) - as needed for tablet formulation.
**Dosage:**
- **Adults and Children over 12 years:**
- The usual dose is 1 tablet (500 mg) every 4 to 6 hours as needed.
- Do not exceed 8 tablets (4000 mg) in 24 hours.
- **Children (6 to 12 years):**
- The dosage should be based on the child's weight. Generally, 10-15 mg/kg per dose every 4 to 6 hours as needed.
- Do not exceed 5 doses in 24 hours.
- **Elderly:**
- Dosage may need to be adjusted based on individual health conditions. Consult a healthcare provider.
**Indications:**
- Panadol is indicated for the relief of mild to moderate pain, including:
- Headaches
- Toothaches
- Muscular pain
- Back pain
- Menstrual pain
- Pain associated with colds and flu
- It is also used to reduce fever.
**Precautions:**
- Use with caution in patients with liver disease or heavy alcohol consumption.
- Do not exceed the recommended dose to avoid the risk of liver damage.
