Melocap (meloxicam) 15mg
**Composition:**
- Each Melocap tablet contains:
- Meloxicam: 15 mg

**Dosage:**
- **Adults:**
- The usual starting dose is 15 mg once daily.
- After 2-4 weeks, the dose may be reduced to 7.5 mg once daily based on the patient's response and tolerability.
- **Elderly:**
- The initial dose should be 7.5 mg once daily. The dose may be increased to 15 mg if necessary and tolerated.
- **Renal Impairment:**
- In patients with mild to moderate renal impairment, the maximum recommended dose is 7.5 mg once daily.
- **Hepatic Impairment:**
- Caution is advised in patients with hepatic impairment; the maximum recommended dose is 7.5 mg once daily.
**Indications:**
- Melocap (Meloxicam) is indicated for the relief of pain and inflammation in the following conditions:
- Osteoarthritis
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Ankylosing spondylitis
- Acute pain conditions (e.g., postoperative pain)
- Pain associated with musculoskeletal disorders
