Composition:

  • Each tablet contains 5mg of Glibenclamide (also known as Glyburide).

Dosage:

  • The usual starting dose for adults is 2.5mg to 5mg once daily with breakfast or the first main meal.
  • The maximum recommended dose is 20mg daily, usually divided into 2 to 3 doses.

Indications:

  • Glibenclamide is an oral antidiabetic medication used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus.
  • It helps lower blood sugar levels by stimulating the release of insulin from the pancreas.
  • It is typically prescribed when diet and exercise alone are not sufficient to control blood sugar levels.
